Meraki NYC

Native New Yorker, Terri spent over a decade as an art teacher before launching Meraki NYC & Founding a female collective called Handmade in Brooklyn. The Meraki NYC Studio is located in the Gowanus Print Lab, where she screen prints and creates authentic, ethically made, one of a kind handmade apparel and leather accessories in Brooklyn. Meraki is a Greek word, meaning to do something, anything with love and creativity; soulfully putting yourself into your work. This philosophy embodies her work style and ethic.



Quick Brown Fox

Quick Brown Fox is a letterpress shop based in Gowanus specializing in quirky, colorful, pun filled cards. A one woman operation, all cards are printed one at a time, on early 20th century letterpress printing presses. The shop is equipped with a Chandler and Price tabletop press, a hot stamping machines and a Golding Jobber. The owner, Kate Murray, is also available for Bespoke printing and design. Kara is one of a long line of artists and craftspeople who grew up sewing and making.



Fugitive Nature

Fugitive Nature is an expression of Kara's love of color and pattern. Her textiles are inspired by the natural world as well as traditional Shibori work. As part of her appreciation of the natural world and a desire to leave society a better place, a portion of sales goes to a variety of charities. All pieces and fabrics are hand dyed in her Bed-Stuy studio, and many are hand sew and produced there as well.

Owner of Mana Made Jewelry, each piece of jewelry is an original design and handmade in Brooklyn from locally sourced materials. The jewelry is minimalistic in style and combines carefully selected stones with metals using various fabrication techniques - ranging from stone cutting to metal forging - to create truly original pieces. The collections are a mix of classic everyday jewelry and limited edition metal pieces that incorporate one-of-a-kind stones.
